Illustration Friday: Quiet


When one encounters the Great North American Yalp (see fig. 1-17 above), he is struck with fear at its imposing stature and grotesque features. Indeed one would think such a beast would unleash a ferocious, blood-curdling howl into the night air, when in fact, the creature is quiet as a mouse. All who have witnessed this beast in the wild have reported not so much as a, "peep" escapes its jaws when it opens them.
